I‘m a recent college graduate with a B.A in Psychology. I’ve been told as a white person that ignorance is bliss, which it may be, but I prefer the truth. I really try to hold myself accountable for my actions as a young adult and as a white person. I’ve decided that changing the world is process that starts from the inside out. For me that process began with understanding myself as a white girl; how I was affected by a dominant culture of whiteness, and how my whiteness affected those around me. Regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion or political views, I would love to motivate other people to really look at themselves. This is a difficult undertaking but well worth the challenge.
